Here it is: the bike–along with its little brother, the CR125–that changed it all. In 1973, with the introduction of the Honda CRs, suddenly wonderful European handling alone just wasn’t enough. The CRs had power, were lightweight, were more reliable and less expensive, and were the perfect ride for someone how wanted to ride and compete a bit, but didn’t want to tear down their engine every weekend. Did I mention the CRs were also good-looking? (Editor’s note: I admit to have never ridden a ’73 CR250. But, if it’s as good as the CR125, it must be amazing).
